HowTo..Re-record your Company Greeting
First a few hints:
Hint: Print out this page first
Hint: If you turn on Night Service with a Key on your main phone, it may be an idea to simply re-record your night greeting and turn the system to night service for the holiday period, otherwise you may need to re-record both Day and Night Greetings)
Hint: Write down your current greeting and Greeting number so you will be able to re-record it accurately after the holiday.
Hint: Write down your Holiday Greeting before attempting to record it, it's much easier and sounds better.
Dial voice mail from any phone as normal. (every company has a different number .. some common numbers to try are: 4, 5, 7, 77, 777, 888 or 9707 - or something else - otherwise ask your phone people)
Once it answers press # (you will then be asked for the mailbox number)
Enter the Supervisors mailbox number (usually the highest number in you extension number range - eg if your phone numbers go from 700 to 768 then the Supervisors Mailbox is usually 799)
Enter supervisors password (We don't know what you may have changed it to but it starts life as 1234 - try that)
Follow the system prompts: (if you get confused, hang-up and start again)
2 Supervisors options
2 Company Greeting
2 Record Greeting (DO NOT choose any of the other options offered)
Enter the Greeting number to re-record (Hint: The current greeting will play before you re-record it. If you've chosen the wrong greeting just hang up try again) (Some versions will ask you to press # after the greeting number, do so but only if asked)
1 is usually Day Greeting
2 is usually Night Greeting
Follow the prompts, it's just like re-recording your personal mailbox greeting.
Hint: Remember to press # to end your recording AND 3 to save
